the population estimate you have posted for Regina has been deleted (and will continue to be deleted) for the following reasons.
- 1) Although the PDF claims to have Statistics Canada as a source, it should be noted that Statistics Canada has not yet released data for July 2006. Population counts from the 2006 census will not be available until February 2007.
- 2) Since this is not official data from Statistics Canada, it is subject to errors such as typos.
- 3) A drop of 17,000 residents in 5 years is highly unfeasible, and such claims should have hard evidence to back them up.
- 4) You clearly have a political motive, as demonstrated by your spamming of the Regina and Pat Fiacco pages. Wikipedia is not a tool for you to spread political propoganda.

[edit] population estimate
The estimated july 2006 population of 160,800 for Regina is in fact a labour force population estimate, not the total population. I emailed Action Regina and got the following response:
Thank you for your comments. The number of 160,800 is the labour force population number for the census metropolitan area of Regina as of July 2006. We took the population information from the following Statistics Canada link and simply forgot to add "population age 15 and over." http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/lfss03h.htm.
As you can see, I was correct in saying it was most likely a typo, which is why you should only cite information from Statistics Canada itself.
Also, a drop of 17,000 is not in line or proportional to the population loss of Saskatchewan, you need to check your numbers. Saskatchewan is not dropping 10% in population every five years. That is a highly unfeasible number for population loss --Reginaguy 19:19, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
