Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Vladimir Nabokov. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Bakanov (talkcontribs) 21:52, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Please explain why my addition was nonsense and vandalism:

"Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Apparent bad-faith edits that do not make their bad-faith nature inarguably explicit are not considered vandalism at Wikipedia. For example, adding a personal opinion once is not vandalism — it's just not helpful, and should be removed or restated."

Vladimir would have wholly agreed with my addition. His family, including his gay family (brother and two gay uncles), affected his writing. Brian Boyd fully documents it in his biography. Further, why did you delete the reference to the salon.com article by Lev Grossman? Please refrain from vandalizing others and playing chief editor.

Sorry to intrude, but I noticed this before from recent changes, I think the problem here is, even though your edits were good faith and good contributions to wikipedia, due to the nature of the content, they might of appeared to be vandalism to Bakanov. It might help in the future to include edit summaries, as an edit summary alone can often show the difference between a good faith edit and vandalism. Wildnox 23:24, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
On an additional note, as said in the statement from Bakanov, you should contant him about this problem. Do so through his talk page. Wildnox 23:28, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Your edit asserts that VN was, or his works are, homophobic. And you give the Salon article as a reference. However, the first part of this article promises to explain this on the/a subsequent page -- to which the link that I took was broken. Please examine the Salon article carefully; if I have overlooked a working link to its continuation, please rewrite accordingly.

Also, when you edit, please add edit summaries. You'll see the box "Edit summary" immediately under the box in which you do your main editing; please use it. Thank you. -- Hoary 00:51, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Please cite passages from Nabokov's work to show his alleged homophobia. Griot 03:46, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
