Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Guinnog 22:02, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding your edits to Aqua Teen Hunger Force:
Your recent edit to Aqua Teen Hunger Force (diff) was reverted by an automated bot. You have been identified as a new user or a logged out editor using a hosting or shared IP address to add email addresses, phone numbers, YouTube, Geocities, Myspace, Facebook, blog, forum, or other such free-hosting website links to a non-talk page. Please note that such links are generally to be avoided. You can restore any other content by editing the page and re-adding that content. The links can be reviewed and restored by established users. Thank you for contributing! // VoABot II 00:51, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Jens Lekman. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Paul Erik 04:54, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] External links to Synthesis magazine
Hi and thanks for your message at my talk page. Do you work for Synthesis? It might not be your intention, but when you add links to one site to multiple articles, it gives the impression that you are here to promote a site rather than to contribute to the collaborative effort of building the encyclopedia. Have you reviewed Wikipedia:Spam#How not to be a spammer? If you work for Synthesis, I would also refer you to Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. For the time being, since your contribution history at least gives the appearance that you have a conflict of interest, a number of us are removing the links you are adding, and leaving it to other Wikipedians to decide which external links are suitable for which articles. --Paul Erik 01:50, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] March 2008
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 18:32, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
