For the purpose of a supercouple article, it is not the time on the show or time together a couple spends, it is the fans that cheer them on when they are not on but immediately still love them when they come back. It's the fans still wanting them together even when they are with someone else. That's what soap supercouples are. It is not about dates they are together or on/off screen, it's the total time of people wanting them together. Please do not change the dates again. Thank you. If that's the case, then why do Steve and Kayla have their years broken into two? And, really, why does any couple who's off the show have their years cut as well, as they're still loved even if they're gone? There needs to be uniformity. --63.139.170.232 (talk) 17:59, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Look at the article, there is uniformity. The Payla dates are corrected. You seem to be assuming that it's about characters being in love. If that's how you gage it, you need to completely remove Lucas and Sami for most of the dates listed. A supercouple is a couple people want together, campaign for to be together, and watch in hopes they will get together. Why do you think couples come back to shows? Because they are still loved and people want them back. That's what makes them a supercouple. Do you think people are just going to forget Shawn and Belle when they leave next month? No. That's the point. That's what makes them supercouples. The dates "present" are for active couples. Those with end dates have left their shows. If a couple comes back, see Jesse Hubbard and Angie Baxter, their dates are corrected to "present". Prior to their return their dates ended when they left the show. Now that they are back, it states "present." If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.IrishLass (talk) 18:07, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
