User talk:62.253.64.7

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi there!

I see you have made quite a few contributions to Wikipedia! Thanks! If you don't mind, it would be nice if you could create an account (use the login link at the top, enter your username and password, and click "create account", that's all there is to it). This will make it easier to contact you, allow you to change some preferences, and will provide a unique "signature" to your contributions. You can reply here if there are any problems. --Eloquence 11:41 Jan 29, 2003 (UTC)

I have a user account, TwoOneTwo. I tend not to use it when I'm working from the computer identified as 62.253.64.7. As for a unique signature, I list my better contributions on my user page and it seems that this IP address is fairly static so I am easy to track. Also this new anon talk addition appears to make contact simple.
Cool, just checking. Yeah, if the IP is static, this talk page should work well enough. --Eloquence 12:08 Jan 29, 2003 (UTC)

Hi there- just thought I'd point there is already a page on The League of Gentlemen (television series), The League of Gentlemen should take you to a disambiguation page... quercus robur 11:38 Mar 31, 2003 (UTC)

Hmm yes, I got to the original page through a blank link and just filled it in. Oh well.

62*,

Thanks for rewriting the article for The Island of Dr. Moreau. I meant to do it, but I'm not that familiar with the book, and I had to go to bed (My wife does not like me putting the wiki before her :) .) It is so much better than it was before. --Two Halves not at home right now

[edit] Apollo Lunar Module article

Hi, I see there has recently been a question posted on the page seeking a reference for the statement that P&W was "paid off" [? just paid, I suspect?] in connection with the switch from fuel cells to batteries for the LM. I checked back and see that it was in your original contribution of November 2002. It is actually not quite clear from the wording who was actually paid off, nor by whom.

The sentence reads, "For example initially the module was to be powered by fuel cells, built by Pratt and Whitney but in March 1965 they were paid off in favor of an all battery design."

Anyhow, since I expect you have some special knowledge about the subject, I wonder if you could clarify the sentence, and maybe provide some kind of reference, so we don't lose the info entirely. I suppose P&W was paid by Grumman or by NASA? If there was really no suggestion of impropriety intended, maybe changing the wording to "paid", for work done to that point, would suffice.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Speedy deletion of Beta carbon nitride

A tag has been placed on Beta carbon nitride, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Koolo (talk) 21:25, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
