If you are an unregistered user operating from this address, note that this need not necessarily be the IP address of your machine. In many cases, it turns out to be the IP address of a proxy server that communicates between your browser and the Wikimedia servers. Such proxies are shared among a huge number of users compared to the number of persons using your particular machine. If you are frustrated by irrelevant comments appearing here, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself.

Welcome to Wikipedia! I see that you made several edits today. Unfortunately, your article Brendan james ryan is on Votes for Deletion at Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Brendan_james_ryan. The material is not appropriate for the encyclopedia portion of this site. - DS1953 21:01, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Znode 11:06, 2005 Jun 17 (UTC)

I second that. This isn't a bulletin board for posting someone's CV. You're flirting with having your IP blocked, perhaps for good. - Lucky 6.9 15:55, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been removed. Please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for any other tests you want to do, since testing in articles will be removed quickly. Please see the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks, Joyous 17:15, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

Please don't remove Vfd tags from articles. If the consensus is that the article should be kept, the tag will be removed from it at that time. Thank you. Joyous (talk) July 8, 2005 02:06 (UTC)

  • We see you have continued to vandalize Wikipedia. You have earned yourself a 1 week edit block. Enjoy your time off.

Please don't vandalise wikipedia. Hiding 20:50, July 17, 2005 (UTC)

This user just didn't listen. As this is his/her 1st offense, he/she is now temporarily blocked from wikipedia for a period of 24 hours, see history of Charente-Maritime for more evidence. — Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 23:16, 17 July 2005 (UTC)

There is no point in blocking this IP. It is part of a NTL 'pool' through which I regularly pass. And as a contributor to Wikipedia since 10,000 articles I find having to locate and edit via a proxy a little tedious. 62.252.64.16 23:20, 17 July 2005 (UTC)
Whoops...perhaps someone oughtta slap a template on that. — Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 16:05, 18 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Dead Leaves

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Dead Leaves, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
