Is there no explanation about how the papyrus worded the number 616. Is there no exerpt or quote to pull from for this? And if the papyrus is not the oldest version of revalations (see bottom of discussion) then why are people even reading it? ~~CLH —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.44.121.21 (talk) 14:40, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

There is this shirt you can buy that says "333: I'm only half evil." With 616, the joke would not work as well (308). PrimeFan 23:08, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Heh. Marvel's the Antichrist.

Let's not vindicate 50s era anti-comics activists. ;D

Why does it need to decuss the apparent many ways 616 is said, pointless.

I see 616 everywere checking time, xp in a game, times people call. my bday

Here's something funny I came across...I was listening to the Bloodhound Gang song "Fire Water Burn" and there's this lyric...

"So if man is five and the devil is six than that must make me seven, This honkey's gone to heaven,"

So, I got to thinking. What if 666 was the wrong number all along? If Man is 5 and the Devil is 6, then should the number of the beast be 56?

And then I found this number, 616 = 56 * 11 = 56(5 + 6). Talk about an unintended consequence.

.... the number of man is 6. God is 4 and Jesus is 7 and the devil is 616 and i don't know what is 5 but the song just doesn't make any sense =) /CL

The thing is the papyrus found ws sid to be dated at around 300AD which means John (who wrote revalation) couldn't have written what was on it like they say. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.226.45.220 (talk) 05:01, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
