Popular press label gas fields by the coal basin where they are found. In reality this is not the case and CMG fields have their own distinct fields e.g. the spring gully well heads are on the Walloon Basin (not Bowen), Tipton is on the Taroom Basin (not Surat). If there is to be a separation between the Coal Basins and the Gas Basins on here then they should be put under their own category with links from articles or discussions between the co existent basins. CMG is an important part of the current boom cycle and poised to become a mainstay of Australia's economic base for a greater time span than the mineral or coal industry in term of sustainability and production. Already holes drilled to extract the gas go through coal seams that will never be extracted under current technology, this will only extend as improvements to techniques and drilling equipment improve. I feel Wikipedia contributors need to improve and expand upon the current article base on the Australian Gas Industry in terms production, technology, usage, economic impact etc for what will become one of our most important industries.
