Description

Emblem of the 50th Tactical Fighter Wing (1956-1992), a wing of the United States Air Force. The emblem represents the wing's nuclear aircraft mission. Changes in heraldry rules in 1992 led to the 50th Space Wing adopting the 50th Fighter Group emblem used in World War II.
