[edit] Seven Years' War

Why did I get warned in the "talk" section of the Seven Years' War about vandalizing Wikipedia? I did not vandalize it. In fact, what I did was repair a vandalized sentence.

The person before me had changed a sentence that had originally stated that the Seven Years' War "could be viewed as a continuation of the War of Austrian Succession"; and instead changed it to read that the war started when "a king slept with his daughter." I deleted the statement about the king sleeping with someone's daughter and re-inserted the original statement saying the war was a continuation of the earlier war. How does that make me a vandal? Why I am being warned that I might lose my ability to contribute to Wikipedia? Please let me know? I don't understand.

[edit] re. Bryker Woods

Hi, I have moved the page you created at Brykerwoods to Bryker Woods, since that is the name you used in the article and is used in the external pages you linked to. I have also made Bryker woods a redirect to the page with an upper-case "W" (page names are case-sensitive.) I have noticed that the text seems to have been copied from http://www.txinfo.com/brykerwoods/BWNA/index.html, which the neighborhood association or its contributors presumably own the copyright to. If you have permission from the BWNA or the author of this text to use it in Wikipedia, could you say so at Talk:Bryker Woods; otherwise I will follow the prochedure described at Wikipedia:Copyright problems and mark this is a suspected copyright violation. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or on my talk page. -- AJR | Talk 01:27, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

I did not create a page (or even contribute to a page) called Brykerwoods (or Bryker Woods). Sorry.

[edit] Jefferson Airplane

Perhaps you may want to use the "Show Preview" function before making your edits. As it stands, it is difficult to tell if you are having difficulty putting the correct information in the "Band Info" box or you are just trying to vandalize the page with multiple edits. I was not trying to vandalize the article. I was having trouble working with the band box.

[edit] 1969

Hello anonymous user. I removed your addition to 1969. Who is Cathie McFall and why does she need to be in the article? Image:Huskyeye.jpg Husky (talk page) 14:56, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Amazon Rainforest

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! JoshuaZ 15:29, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
