[edit] Solution for Hosting problems in Warcraft III

You will only have to try one of the solutions.

If a Solution doesn't work try another.

I will add more solutions if requested.

[edit] Solution 1: Getting rid of the Router

This is what a Router looks like
This is what a Router looks like
This is what a modem looks like
This is what a modem looks like
  • Find your Router and your Modem. (They are pretty similar, but it is important to differentiate them)
  • Unplug all cables from them, /but leave the telephone cable in your Modem untouched/ (This will disconnect you from the internet, but don't worry about it)
  • Take one cable and connect your Modem to your PC with it. (Yes, leaving the router out)
  • Now your internet should work again. (If not, you will just have to restart your computer)
  • Turn off your firewall. (Or if you can, add port 6112 to the exception list)
  • Now you should be able to host! Have fun!
  • When done playing, turn your firewall on again!

[edit] Solution 2: Opening port 6112

  • Go to portforward.com (Don't be afraid, it's a huge list of routers)
  • Press CTRL+F and type in your Router's Model Name
  • Now CTRL+F Warcraft III click on it. (If you want to host in StarCraft or any other blizzard product, select that item instead of Warcraft III)
  • Follow the steps on the portforward website.

If none of these methods work for you please check Blizzard's 'official' guide!
