The 380th Bomb Group was a B-24 bomber group in World War II based in the South West and West Pacific. The group covered the largest territory of any bomb group during the war, covering nearly a million square miles from Borneo to New Guinea. Among its accomplishments were the daring raid on Balikpapan[1] and the bombardment of Cape Gloucester. After the war, the 380th was moved back to the United States. The group was eventually disbanded in 1984.
