37mm antitank gun in combat on Saipan—summer 1944. The gun shield is full of holes from bullet strikes. The gunner kneels on the left side and looks through tthe telescopic sight. The Ass't gunner kneel on the right and holds a round ready to load. The ammo bearers are stationed at the rear and brace the trails against the recoil of firing.
