How does 311 or 911 sound in conjunction with another word as a business name for a concierge service based in another country?

[edit] Center vs. Centre
Reading the entry, I find numerous center/centre usages. Which ones do we settle on? I am changing it to center, because at this time the entry seems heavily US-centric. Yossiea 18:40, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
- Agreed, the U.S. spelling should definitely be used here. After all, the first words of the article are "in the United States". —Caesura(t) 10:59, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] "Steps to Implementation 311 Call Center Services"
Erm, what is this section even about? Did someone just make up these five steps or are they part of some FCC specification? Looking at the edit history, they were merged here from the old "311 service" article, which was originally created (with these steps) by User:64.231.188.91. (Original version of "311 service" is here.) Maybe we should just delete the five steps and rewrite the bottom two sections? —Caesura(t) 10:59, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Ditch the abbreviations
Dialing this number allows (only in certain c.s)
6-6-6 (Ca. resp. in the US) 9-1-1 for Emergencies
Would someone who knows what they mean please expand the abbreviations in this page? There is no real benefit to the size reduction, and it totaly confuses those readers (like me) who have no clue what they are supposed to be abbreviations of. If there is some overwhelming reason to keep them as abbreviations, please wikilink to an explanation of what they mean. Thanks. -- 18:20, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

- I've removed it for now, since it is totally unclear. My guess would be "Civil administration response" based on an internet search showing that some organizations use it as an internal emergency number. Anyway, someone who knows can add it back in. BlankAxolotl 06:03, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
For the above reasons I have tagged this article for cleanup. 38.100.34.2 22:10, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup tag is no longer there.
[edit] Don't merge with 9-1-1, 9-9-9 or 1-1-2
Why does the tag urging discussion of this page say:
It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with 9-1-1, 9-9-9 and 1-1-2
All of those pages are properly cross-referenced with N-1-1 pages as is this 3-1-1 page. 3-1-1 should remain its own page.
Is this just an outdated label requesting discussion of this page? Can someone remove that tag please? Also, there have been no posting to this discussion page for 4 months. --Fredwerner 01:03, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
