[edit] Service status

Since 2004 there are great many discussion on the net about errors come across by users when they try to connect to the MSN Messenger. Part of these are caused by faults in user network setting and others, it is said, caused by the pause of .NET Messenger Service.

I have been using MSN for a long time. Until recently I encountered such problem. I tried to check the .NET Messenger Service status whenever I cannot logon to the MSN, but every time I try, I receive a "No page to display" error.

Can anyone tell me under normal condition what the status page should look like?

Can you provide a link to that page? Maybe your client has an outdated (broken) link. I saw many wrong links in the help topics of windows live messenger (pointing to help.live.com, but talking about something else) --216.244.213.251 20:13, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Meetro (Multi-platform, GPL & Proprietary)

I read that while editing the third-party clients section. It's weird. I couldn't find anything about the license, so I commented out the "gpl" part. Anyone knows why it was there? --216.244.232.6 20:08, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Demographics

Does any else find it interesting and perhaps relevant to the article to notice the major Canadian demographic of MSN? Similar to how many netizens from the US use AIM in the same way. 24.82.167.240 00:34, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Messenger Logo.png

Image:Messenger Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
