Gallup & Robinson, Inc.

Gallup and Robinson (G&R) provides a variety of marketing research services aimed at helping companies develop, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of their advertising. Founded in 1948 in Princeton, New Jersey by Dr. George Gallup and Dr. Claude Robinson, the firm was the first advertising research firm and is credited with inventing many of the research techniques that are now widespread in the industry, including the measures of recall, profiled idea communication, volunteered reactions to advertising, persuasion, and physiological measurements of emotional engagement to advertising. With over 200,000 tested ads and commercials, it maintains one the of the largest fact-based knowledge bases about advertising performance in the world.

The current President of Gallup and Robinson is Scott Purvis. G&R is an affiliate of Gallup, the global management consulting and opinion polling company.
