Hi, thanks for your contributions. Pardon my ignorance on the subject of the Eleventh dynasty of Egypt but I noticed that you changed a lot of dates in that article. Did you have any basis for doing that? These dates tend to be a bit sketchy anyway, so if you have a source for them, that would be great. I could add them into the individual articles, which would be a bonus. Reverse Gear 10:12, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks very much for going to the trouble of explaining that. I very much appreciate it. BTW, do you not fancy having a username? You'll get a lot fewer stupid questions from the likes of me because edits with "names", particularly one that is readily recognised as working in a particular area, are, not to put too fine a point on it, considered much more trustworthy. It's not mandatory, of course. Thanks again for your message. Happy new year. Reverse Gear 11:40, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Addditions to the Tiye Article

I have just looked over the additions you have made to the Tiye article. Kudos to you for significantly expanding it, and providing references where needed! I would like to echo Reverse Gear's suggestion of taking on a username, as a) IP addresses tend to fluctuate, and b) more often that not, those making changes with IP addresses get closer scrutiny the are often they are often a refuge for those who would vandalize the articles.

You may also be interested in Wikipedia:WikiProject Ancient Egypt, which is a group of us who are dedicated to improving articles relating to this subject. We recently got one article (Ahmose I) to Wikipedia:Featured articles status, and there are others that are being worked on in a similar manner, such as Valley of the Kings and Amenhotep I (the latter article seeking peer review for completeness on its discussion page). We would welcome your help in these and any other area you may be interested in).

Cheers! Captmondo 12:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

I've removed your addition as I couldn't find a reference, and I've added a reference for the article. If you have a reliable source for your comment, please replace it with your source. Thanks.--Doug Weller (talk) 18:51, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
