Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Bicycle pedal do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Ageekgal (talk) 07:00, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

From your (unsigned) entry on my talk page over this edit -- Wikipedia is not a how-to. That said, I only removed your link once and if you choose to re-add it, and others find it bears merit in staying, that's fine by me. I, personally, do not feel a link to a video on how to change bike pedals is a necessary external link to the Wikipedia entry on bicycle pedals, per WP:EL, any more than a video on how to change a diaper should be linked to an article on parenthood or bodily waste removal. - Ageekgal (talk) 01:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
