From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Attention:

This IP address, 24.229.69.35, is registered to PenTeleData Inc. - Cable (US), and may be shared by multiple users. If the organization uses proxy servers or firewalls, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block may be shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user. Alternatively, you can list the IP at Wikipedia:WikiProject on XFFs.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to John McCain. It is considered vandalism, which under Wikipedia policy, can lead to blocking of editing privileges. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. -- Satori Son 19:02, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, even if your ultimate intention is to revert them. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Royalbroil T : C 13:59, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your edits to Christ:

Your recent edit to Christ (diff) was reverted by an automated bot. The edit was identified as adding either test edits, vandalism, or link spam to the page or having an inappropriate edit summary. If you want to experiment, please use the preview button while editing or consider using the sandbox. If this revert was in error, please contact the bot operator. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Christ, you will be blocked from editing. --/\sSb\/TALK/\-- 18:47, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

[edit] Block.

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. · AndonicO Talk 19:32, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Beaver, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. NawlinWiki 15:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia for repeated vandalism. When the block expires you are free to continue editing if you intend to make useful contributions. However, if you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, this account will be subject to a longer block and action could be taken against the individual behind this IP address.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of three months in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Spellcast (talk) 17:13, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
To edit, please log in.

Editing by anonymous users from your shared IP address or address range may be currently disabled. Registered users, however, are still able to edit. If you are currently blocked from creating an account, you may email us using an email address issued to you by your ISP, school or organization so that we may verify that you are a legitimate user on this network.

In your email, please tell us your preferred username and an account will be created for you. Please check on this list that the username you choose has not already been taken. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This user's request to have the autoblock on his/her IP address lifted has been DECLINED.

{{anonblock}}

  • Decline reason:

You have not been autoblocked. However, you have been blocked directly as stated in your block log. Since you have not provided a reason for being unblocked, your request has been declined. You may provide a reason for being unblocked by adding {{unblock|your_reason_here}} to your talk page. -- Yamla (talk) 19:51, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "this IP is shared by many as its a school. we have been warned about editing nonsense and its not fair to block us all because of a few"

Decline reason: "So you expect us to turn a blind eye to the vandalism coming from this address? No. And the block is anon-only, meaning anyone can edit with an account. Please read the block message. — Yamla (talk) 19:52, 14 February 2008 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

I also just checked the edit history for this IP address and I could not find even one edit in the last year which was not a vandal edit. Looking back to the year 2005, my finding was that in excess of 95% of the edits from this IP address are vandal edits. Also, remember that users also have the option to make constructive edits by logging in with a user account. It is clear that this IP has a long track record of steady abuse of the anonymous edit privilege. SaltyBoatr (talk) 19:54, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
