See Wikipedia:Notability. The fact is that a lot of people have "interesting" stories, but that does not necessarily make them notable enough to have an article. A line has to be drawn at some point, otherwise Wikipedia would be overwhelmed with articles. There are other websites, especially relating to genealogy, that are more appropriate for less-notable topics and people; Wikipedia isn't one of them.
