The British were the first to push the simple-minded Kalash into believing that they are the descendents of Alexander. This is now further being pushed by foreigners. The Kalash are Cenral Asian and Dards living in this region for several millenia. Their language an Indo-European one is a Dardic one with no special resemblance to Greek. Also they have no Greek culture or tradition in them. All their tradtions are the pre-Islamic traditions of that area. Their looks are not Greek but Aryan Central Asian. All that region for several millenia has had that looks. So why change history just because it suits you. For the genuine history of that region please read this: http://www.indigenouspeople.net/chitral.htm

No history book or ancient text refers to Kashmiris as Dards. Few Dards did live in Kashmir but most were outside the Valley. The Kashmiris have an ancient history of being Aryans and were a region of Aryavarta so were the Dards.

Also there is an effort to Semitize India and Kashmir which is part of India.

Dear Editor,

If the credidibility of the Wikipedia has to stay, please do that delete this information. As you know the below information is accurate:

THE REAL STORY CLEARLY NO HONEST HISTORIAN CAN CONCLUDE THAT THIS IS WRONG: After the advent of Islam in Kashmir many pseudo historians of Islamic faith made a great effort (though not with much success) to bring Aryan Kashmir into the Semitic fold. The names of places were changed, Anantnag became Islamabad, Varahamulla became Baramulla, Sankracharya Parbat became Takte-Sulaiman,Vala became Bal,etc. Later the Ahmadis, and people like the Yasins etc.,joined it and planted stories of Semitic prophets mysteriously entering Kashmir. Also a story of Jesus visiting Kashmir was cleverly planted in 1894 by Nicolas Notovitch. This has been now further amplified by some pseudo-scholars,such as Hassnains and Yasins. The only accurate history of pre-Islamic Kashmir is the great Rajatarangini,,which has no Semitic and only Aryan input(1). In no Hindu epic is there any mention of any Semitic (Jewish-Christian-Islamic), prophet visiting India or any Semitic religion or culture being followed in India during that period. 1) Kalhana's Rajatarangini, the credible source of Hindu History of Kashmir'

Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule.
