Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Jean-Claude Van Damme, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

Thanks for your omniscience. That edit was true and fits in with the general theme of nudity/body appreciation. Wikipedia is intended to be a resource that strives for depth of information, not a vanity site that protects entries from "unflattering" information.

The recent edit you made to 2 Live Crew constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. Prom3th3an (talk) 15:17, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Again, how is inserting valid anecdotes vandalism?

[edit] Anecdotes

"Rumors circulated" is not acceptable. According to biographies of living persons policy, there had better be concrete, unimpeachable proof of such statements. If not, they will be deleted every time. A "rumor" will be reverted without question. DarkAudit (talk) 17:30, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

It was a term of art, but fine. From Katie Holmes' page: "Their relationship made Holmes the subject of international media attention, much of it negative, including speculation the relationship was a publicity stunt to promote the couple's films." Not quite the unimpeachable standard you claim to steward. It seems I just need to find a blog speculating about the Van Damme incident and I should meet the authenticity standard.

  • your edits should never include speculations or personal opinions (This include rumors). Please refrain from using material that could be considered controversal or flameatory. Keep it to the facts only. Also please dont alter my userpage, you may add message to my USER TALK page. Prom3th3an (talk) 00:46, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Lord in heaven, you really need to get a life telling me not to alter your userpage. You're just a silly volunteer, not some overlord. And, of course, you still didn't address my point that Wikipedia is riddled with "rumors" and "speculation" that are only grounded in references to gossip columns or blog entries. Also, not sure what "flameatory" means. Might you mean inflammatory? It's great to know the gatekeepers at wikipedia are both illogical and illiterate.
