[edit] Joy Division
Origin sections in band infoboxes are not about where the band members came from; it is about where the band itself was formed. The band that was later named Warsaw and then Joy Division was formed by three kids in Salford, before Curtis or Morris joined. WesleyDodds (talk) 21:49, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- (1) That is your interpretaion of origin. It is not that of others. (2) The article is about Joy Division and not any precursor. (3) The are strong arugments for them being a Manchester band.
- My argument is based on the sources, which is what all additions on Wikipedia need to be based on. In Touching From a Distance, Deborah Curtis writes that Ian Curtis joined the band already in progress. Stephen Morris simply replaced the previous drummer. WesleyDodds (talk) 22:02, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
