[edit] Biphasic Cuirass Ventilation
I have reverted your edit [1] to Biphasic Cuirass Ventilation. The disadvantages are referenced and the BCV vs iron lung is not like NIV vs IPPV because IPPV requires intubation, while neither the BCV nor iron lung do. All the best. Mmoneypenny 12:45, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Firstly, many thanks for your assistance in making this more informative. However, BCV is not simply negative pressure ventilation. Furthermore, BCV is probably the most effective way of reducing C02, because of it's positive (in this case expiratory) phase. Unlike the Iron Lung, BCV uses both positive and negative pressure. References will shortly be added illustrating this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.34.149.45 (talk) 20:36, August 22, 2007 (UTC)
