[edit] Deleting and putting back

Knowing what I do know I wouldn't have deleted what you added--because putting something up that has a source that you can't track down right now is different (in my judgment, anyway) than not having a source. (That's why I left up the thing about elephants, which also needs a source--I've seen that claim before, so I know it's out there somewhere.) If you found your source, I would certainly have no objection to your putting that back.

I think it's important to understand the Be Bold concept--people delete things that are then put back in to stay fairly often, and you should feel free to play either role. A deletion can mean "Oh my god no!" or it can mean "Maybe the article would be better without that bit." If you feel strongly about a change that someone reverted, you should go ahead and to revert back, with an explanation, and see what happens. (Try not to do multiple reverts, though--use the Talk pages, like you're doing now.) Nareek 17:39, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
