Hello. I notice that you have made several wrong edits to the tidal power page under the heading Shrouded Turbines that are misleading and wrong. I have deleted them for that reason.
I do not wish to precipitate any bad feelings but would ask you to enegage me in a rational discussion to reslove the matter. Tidalenergy 22:13, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

- I would be very please to discuss it with you. Perhaps you could begin by explaining what you thought was 'wrong'?

- If you closely examine the CFD I placed on the page you will see that the flow and therefore the energy captured is far greater then the size of the inlet. A suitably shaped shroud geometry creates a down stream vortex or sub atmosphere of low pressure that litterally sucks the flow across the turbine increasing the power output by 3-4 times (the highest recorded so far is 3.84 times). It is still early days (similar to the invention of the jet engine) and further development will no doubt lead to higher efficiencies. The work published by Kirke (not his PhD but an article he published) "Developments in Ducted Water Turbines" cites many reference to work already undertaken in this field. 5 times has been alluded to. I will leave it here for you to respond as I have frequently put too much info down and have swamped people. 210.9.237.1 22:22, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
