[edit] Warning
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Myocardial infarction, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --ArmadilloFromHell 16:23, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Unfortunately as a single user, I can't help you becuase this is a public computer and everyone on the server on this computer shares the same IP address. I would like to help, but I would have to watch this and every other computer in the school like a hawk from vandalism. Frankly, I'm tired of looking at Wikipedia articles respectively, and getting blocked for something I didn't do. --Yours Truly, an Anonymous User.
- Well frankly I'm tired of anonymous IP vandalism, it takes a lot of time to weed out, and since blocking affeacts the innocent along with the guilty, it ends up encouraging more vandalizm while the block gets delayed. You would be better off getting your own account - why would you not? --ArmadilloFromHell 16:48, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- Actually I do have an account on Wikipedia at home, as you can see by my IP adress. I have created and edited articles and have NEVER repremanded for it. I've had this account name for about 5 months. The reason why I don't create another account at school is because other people (particularly the ones that I know of) can download keyloggers onto the server regardless of protection. The point I was trying to make above is that I am just as sick about it as you are. I have cleaned-up lots garbage from my articles from other peoples carelessness. What I do not want is to be repremanded for crimes that I did not commit one way or the other. All I did, was receive a message on my screen when passively reading an article on brain cells for a project. Then, I came on to this thing here, and its like the answering machine message effect, with the neurotic boyfriend/girlfriend that you've just broken-up with progressively leaves more and more disturbing messages on it, until they're in tears, yelling into the phone for you to pick-up. I don't like that, I don't like that at all. (I don't even know where that Buddha thing came from either!) Dark Observer 02:47, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- About keyloggers, if they are hardware, seize one if you find one, get fingerprints, and make suffer the offender(s). If it is software keyloggers, well, you need better security: lock the BIOS, prevent booting from external devices, and install decent operating systems that prevent users for installing such malware. If you are not a system administrator, contact them about that problem, it's their job.
