Please note that articles are not moved on Wikipedia by cutting and pasting them from one title to another. There is a process to follow:
- If you do not have access to the "move" tab, you propose a move on the talk page.
- If that move is agreed to, then somebody who has access to the move tab will perform the change.
This is the only acceptable procedure on Wikipedia. Thanks.
Also, incidentally, our rule for article naming is not that diacritics are prohibited because they don't officially exist in English; the rule is that we use whatever spelling is actually used most commonly in English, even in the numerous cases where English does maintain the French accents (such as Trois-Rivières or Rivière-du-Loup.) So it is possible that the article should be moved, but the reason you cited isn't a valid criterion for determining that. Which is why we have a discussion first, so that people can weigh in and determine what's actually the most common usage. Bearcat 02:12, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
