[edit] I appologize.

I just downloaded the VandalProof software for wikipedia and I was trying it out. I was clicking a bunch of stuff, so maybe I accidentally gave you a warning. It was truely by accident, though, and I appologize for any inconveniance it caused you. Thanks for pointing it out to me. And feel free to contact me for any WP related problem or question! J@red  00:18, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

No, actually I "stole" the toolbar at the top from him. I got the actual page layout idea from someone else's page, which made me think of a portal design, so I just went to a portal and made everything a template. Pretty technical, huh? Haha. For a(n IP) Wikipedian with so few edits, you sure know your way around! J@red  00:44, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] John Wayne Vandal

Hey, I noticed you're reverting the vandal/troll on the John Wayne page, thanks for your help, i've been doin it for a couple weeks now and actually have a pretty detailed report on him over on the noticeboard [1]. Other than continuously reverting, any thoughts on what else could be done? Batman2005 22:46, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

your page is protected so I'll reply here...the troll certainly a thorn in the side. I had a chat earlier today with Admin "KillerChihuahua" (mind my horrible sp.) I asked him to put the page back on the protect list (strange request from an anon like me?) He put a temp block on the troll and said just to stay diligent and rv him every time he tries his schtick. They can't do much on him because he's an AOL user. I threw a test4 on his talk page earlier. But again...even if he goes test5...they don't block AOL IP's for very long so it's all moot. Try bringing it up with KillerChihuahua again. He is very familiar with the troll. Maybe they can block that 1 IP addy??? Anything at this point is better than the rv war. At least we have the admins blessing so nobody who rv's the troll will go 3RR on it. Good luck! 216.21.150.44 23:07, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, he's (the IP vandal) been pretty vile with me, even at one point saying that he'd had sex with my mother in not so nice terms. I too have worked with Killer on this one, and despite the AOL thing I would think that at some point they would say enough is enough and ban him. Batman2005 23:16, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
I agree with your comment about AOL's getting a free pass. Again...strange comment coming from an IP :). I have been a logged in user in the past....and I have been a long time anon(though not always from this IP) For myself it's OK, I'm static...and I know that, because of my anonymous status, that my edits will be scrutinized....and that's fine with me. It means I have to double check my own edits thoroughly before I hit save...which keeps me on my toes. I know my contributions have been valid and true enough that I am on the VandalProof whitelist. Which tells me I'm doing just fine. I just wish all anons were more credible. The troll will get bored soon enough...I HOPE!. Good day mate! 216.21.150.44 23:33, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Great work!

I see you've been reverting some vandalism and then issuing warning templates to them. I'd just like to take the chance to thank you for doing this. If you would like, please visit the Counter-Vandalism Unit page, and look at the hints and tools available. If you signed up, you can register to gain access to tools that help you combat vandalism in a more efficient manner. However, if making a user isn't for you, keep up the great work! [edit] Terry Kath

Hi, I have temporarily semi-protected this entry. Please refrain from edit warring on it, or you will be blocked. Thanks, Crum375 22:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

..and that would be a misuse of the mop. You are unfamiliar with the article history so my AGF is strong you would not act without thinking. 216.21.150.44 03:09, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] message from image war editor

You might want to apply this towards yourself. I have wrote you previously inquiring as to your reason for continuing to replace a clearly superior photo with an inferior image but have not gotten the courtesy of a response. Still waiting on that..........Dannyg3332 22:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

please don't issue false warnings on user talk pages. Edit histories are very clear and recorded. 1 edit does not and edit war make. I have no opinion on the image. But I understand Wikipedia's policies and guidelines and know that a Fair Use image is always replaceable by a free use one...regardless of image quality. Edit warring and using false edit summaries on your edits is also a violation of Wikipedia policy and you will likely find yourself blocked for your actions. 216.21.150.44 22:37, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] July 2007

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow or move it unilaterally while discussion about it is underway, as you did to Slam Death Metal. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you.--Kylohk 03:23, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

It wasn't unilateral, it was an already established concensus supported by policy. Be careful not to undo valid edits your rv had to be undone... yet again by someone else. You sould read through article edit histories before to avoid making anymore blunders. Thanks. 216.21.150.44 10:37, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't drink either :-) - I appreciate your edits, friend. The edit "warrior" from yesterday got blocked, did you notice that? He was trying to rope me into it somehow, but I think I got cleared. Anyway, thanks again, and good luck with your tour! You never know, I might even see you guys one day :-) (Then we can both have a non-alcoholic drink :-D) Take care. [edit] Genre delimiters

Please stop changing genre delimiters. Consensus is to leave them the way they are now. Changing them incites edit warring. I could just as easliy cite WP:MUSIC and put them back to line breaks. So citing WP:MUSIC for genre delimiters changes nothing. Please stop. Thank you. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:14, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I have read through all of the dialogue from the music project. There are almost 20 regular editors and use comma delimiters as their standard spacing and 2 regular editors who were involved in an edit war over the matter and have both received blocks from Wikipedia administration because of their negative contributions. I will go with the consensus of the credible editors and not the others. 216.21.150.44 (talk) 22:17, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
That is a downright lie, unless you're talking about recently (which I wouldn't know as I no longer argue about those stupid things), but I know there was a consensus made (that the majority of editors follow, incl. admins) to not change genre delimiters as it only incites edit wars. Those pages were fine until you came along and decided to change their delimiters for no reason. They've been like that for months. I just wanna keep the peace and keep the delimiters the same on all pages (whether they be comma breaks or line breaks). You are threatening that peace. Idk where you were the last time the genre delimiter edit war was in full swing, but it was horrible and I don't wanna go back to those days!! It was total fucking chaos. Everybody was so busy warring that less and less actual editing got done. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 22:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
So why are you edit warring now and undoing other people's edits. So far you have reverted similar edits from at least 5 different editors. 5 different editors all doing the same thing vs. you means that you are edit warring and trying to force your personal opinion onto 5 different editors. If that isn't edit warring I don't know what is. And when I report you to an administrator I am sure they will see it the same way. Your tainted history of blocks and warnings doesn't help you. Perhaps after your next block you will come back with a better attitude. 216.21.150.44 (talk) 23:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] About Alice Cooper

Why do you consider that glam rock or shock rock shouldn't be in the infobox of Alice Cooper? Then I think you should delete glam rock from David Bowie's and T.Rex's articles too, because it's not a genre of music. I mean come on. Cooper himself considers especially his older material as garage rock/glam rock/shock rock so I believe it's not your decision if he was glam rock or not. Wikipedia is not based on personal opinions. There is many references saying that Alice Cooper was glam rock. Show me some references that say he wasn't glam. JNCooper
