re my Colombia map: Just because a work is based on public domain does not render it public domain itself; if that were the case, all movies based on Shakespeare plays could not be copyrighted. However, I'm very happy to allow anyone to use my maps, on my licensing I only really request recognition, but in your case, merely asking is sufficient. :) It's mostly about the respect, y'know? Nothing annoys me more than people claiming my work as their own.

Also, it's nice to know that those maps are useful to someone, even though there was no reason for me to make that one. That is to say, there were existing maps of Colombia on Wikipedia, and most of the maps I'd been making were of countries that lacked maps, but I just figured, eh, I'll kill some time making it. Now I know that wasn't in vain! So, long story short: Yes, please do use the maps, sharing licensing information is not necessary - but if anyone asks, you can tell them where you got it. :) --Golbez (talk) 12:40, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
