[edit] Linkspam - http://www.best4babies.com
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Child carrier. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. [edit] WHAT IS INAPPROPRIATE LINKS DEFINITION
I want to know that what is your definition of inappropriate links/spam. I believe that any link that helps people get their problem solved is not a spam. I have gone through a number of links that you have listed under the external links heading and they don not serve the purpose rather visitng them is just a waste of time. Thats the reason why I share my links on the external links where i feel that is appropriate and i dont see it as spam. As my intentions are just to help people. Not to put them in a devils circle of just visitng one site from another and find nothing of their interest or use. So please revise your policy regarding spaming.thankyou.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.2.162.253 (talk) 04:22, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi there. For Wikipedia's guidelines for external links, see WP:External links. At least some of the links you've added are inappropriate because they meet one or more of the criteria of links normally to be avoided; specifically, as you have added the same website (geoamman.com) to multiple pages, it appears that you are adding the links primarily to promote the geoamman.com website. Thus, the links are considered spam. If you feel that a link is to a relevant and informative site that should otherwise be included, please consider mentioning it on the specific article's talk page and let neutral and independent Wikipedia editors decide whether to add it. Otherwise, it's likely that all the links to geoamman.com will continue to be removed.
- Also, please do not remove templates from your talk page (such as the one under the heading "August 2007" above) until a reasonable time period has passed. Thank you. ~ Danelo 05:03, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
