[edit] August 2007

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to CarTech. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

This is your last warning.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with CarTech, you will be blocked from editing. Brusegadi 15:54, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Listen, yu can add the external link to the site, make the site bigger, but you cannot make the page look like an advertisemtn. I will revert your edit once more because as it stands it looks like advertisemnt. (Words like high-quality, etc...) Note that, I will report you if you keep on going. Would something like this be allowed?:

CarTech, Inc. is a publisher of automotive topics focusing primarily on how-to and classic histories and personalities. CarTech's how-to titles are published under the S-A Design imprint. CarTech /S-A Design has been a member of SEMA for 25 years.

Yes. As long as it does not sound subjective its fine. You may also add the external link given that the external link is the official website of the subject of the article. Finally, I recommend adding links third party links that prove that the subject is notable. In order to be included in wikipedia, a subject must be notable. See WP:Notability

Thank you. I have adjusted the page according to your recommendations. However it is hard for me to find third party links for the company that do not seem like 'spam', as most links are to other websites that sell CarTech's books. Would it be inappropriate to include a link to an Amazon page containing CarTech's published tiles? I am not sure. The basic thing is that you have to find sources that would tell the reader why the article is notorious. For example, we have an amazon.com article because they are huge and the business idea was innovative. Read WP:SPAM and see if the answer is there. Thank you for your effort. [edit] Cartech

I think thats a start. Good job. I would consider trying to find as much as possible and expanding it; but I do not think that it reads like advertisement as it is now. Monitor the page closely and lets move this discussion to the articles talk page. From now on, ask whatever you want on that page. I hope you understand that many people try to get a free ride on wikipedia and that is not what the project is about. I hope we are in good terms and that you consider getting an account! I noticed that some of the links provided seem to have nothing on them. Try and fix that. Otherwise, you will have great trouble with notability.Brusegadi 21:15, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
