[edit] Amazing Race 9
Please do not deliberately introduce incorrect information into articles. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.
Please note that there were 12 episodes for this season:
- Leg 1: 2 hr premiere
- Leg 2: 1 hr episode
- Leg 3: 2, one-hour episodes
- Legs 4-10: 7 one-hour episodes (total)
- Legs 11-12: 2 hr finale
That adds up to 12 episodes. --Madchester 21:15, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

The official Amazing Race 9 website (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race9) states that there were thirteen episodes. The two-hour finale consisted of episodes 12 and 13.
These are the episodes as listed on the official race website (the locations listed are the destinations at the end of the episode):
Episode 1: Sao Paulo, Brazil (Leg 1)
Episode 2: Brotas, Brazil (Leg 2)
Episode 3: Moscow, Russia (Leg 3)
Episode 4: Munich, Germany (Leg 3 cont.)
Episode 5: Segesta, Italy (Leg 4)
Episode 6: Siracusa, Italy (Leg 5)
Episode 7: Rio, Greece (Leg 6)
Episode 8: Jabreen, Oman (Leg 7)
Episode 9: Perth, Australia (Leg 8)
Episode 10: Lake Bennett, Australia (Leg 9)
Episode 11: Bangkok, Thailand (Leg 10)
Episode 12: Lake Yamanaka, Japan (Leg 11)
Episode 13: Denver, USA (Leg 12)
So, there were 12 legs and 13 episodes. Please understand that I am not trying to vandalize.
I think this is enough reason to change it back. -208.187.86.74
- Note that the finale is one episode, not two. If it were two episodes, then each one would have contained a set of opening and closing credits. Likewise, after the end of the Japan leg, Phil states that viewers should "stay tuned to the next leg", not episode of the Race. --Madchester 19:21, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Did you check the website? Because it SAYS that the Thailand-Japan leg is episode 12 and the Japan-Denver, USA leg is episode 13. I know the difference between "leg" and "episode", by the way. The official website would not be wrong. -208.187.86.74

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to The Amazing Race 7, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Madchester 21:34, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Please don't introduce anymore incorrect information onto the Amazing Race pages. For example for The Amazing Race 7 the airing schedule was:
- Leg 1: 2 hr episode (1 episode to date)
- Legs 2-7: 1 hr episodes (7 total episodes to date)
- Leg 8: Two 1 hr episodes (9 total episodes to date)
- Legs 9-10: 1 hr episodes (11 episodes to date)
- Legs 11-12: 2 hr finale (12 episodes to date)
And toss in a recap episode to make it 13 episodes, if you like.

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to The Amazing Race 9, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Again the final 2 legs were part of Episode 12... i.e., the episode's title "5 Continents...10 Countries...And More than 59 thousand Miles!". If they were two separate episodes, then there would have been another title assigned to the Japanese leg.
This is the original press release for the leg:
"Five ContinentsTen Countries And More Than Fifty-Nine Thousand Miles" -- After traveling to five continents, 10 countries and more than 59,000 thousand miles, one Team will be the first to cross the Finish Line and take home the one million dollar grand prize, on the two-hour season finale of THE AMAZING RACE 9, Wednesday, May 17 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
As the Teams race through Japan, they quickly learn that little mistakes can cost big time when there are only three teams left and the finish line is within reach. The last two legs of the Race around the world prove both mentally and physically grueling and it is a tight contest until the very end. --Madchester 15:27, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Legs 11 and 12 are listed on the official race website as two separate episodes. Just because they have the same title doesn't mean they are the same episode. Leg 11 could be "Five Continents, Ten Countries, And More Than Fifty-Nine Thousand Miles" Part 1, and Leg 12 could be Part 2. I have seen many television show episodes that have one episode as a Part 1 and the next as Part 2. It has been done many times. I repeat: The OFFICIAL website WOULD NOT be wrong. -- 208.187.86.74
