[edit] Kayastha
Thank you for your contribution to Kayastha. However, the contribution is better placed in its own article. In the Kayastha I have added a link to Ambashth, where you can put your piece (I removed it from the Kayastha article). Please also rewrite it, it reads like an excerpt from a text. [edit] Please don't blank pages: Hampi
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Hampi. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! ---Casper2k3 05:34, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removing content
Please refrain from removing content from Wikipedia, as you did to Kaveri River. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --BostonMA 12:13, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Srisailam
Hi, nice to see you add the Kannada transliteration to this page. However, some time back, there was concern that people have been adding transliterations of several languages on the same page leading to cluttering. The consensus that emerged from the discussion was that apart from English, only the local language of that place should be mentioned. A better way to mention in other languages would be to do this: Go to Kannada Wikipedia, http://kn.wikipedia.org, edit the Srisailam page there and insert [[en:Srisailam]] there. On the English Wikipedia, you can edit the Srisailam page and insert [[kn:ಶ್ರಿಶೈಲ]]. This would create an interwiki link on the left of the article through which anyone can read the entire article in another language. Of course, this works only when the article is available in both languages - in fact you may want to work on the Kannada encyclopedia in improving the content there as very few Indian editors are able to work on native Indian language wikipedias (due to reasons such as not being able to setup computers for indic scripts etc.). Thanks for your time, --Gurubrahma 13:07, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
