I reverted your latest edit as on this page[1] people are required to tick a box stating "I am over 18 and have read and accept Trade Me's terms and conditions" which contradicts your edit that "with some stating they are eighteen or older" as they ALL must state they are 18 or older by ticking the box. TradeMe do also check that the person is 18 or older by using the information provided (birthdate and ticking the box). The amount of checking is the same as commonly used accross the Internet and with other Auction sites (ebay [2])--Clawed 07:19, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

whilst i understand this, it still doesnt explain why trademes system does not vett those who are under 18 automatically. it is possible to put your age as say 14 in the sign up process, and it is still accepted, even though their age minimum is 18. i have informed trademe admin of this many times, yet i have been ignored.
I tried the join page and it would not let me join with a birthdate <18 years old. They must have updated the register page recently.--Clawed 11:10, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
