[edit] Hi Again

Hi. First, I want to thank you for your contributions to wikipedia and to the Indian MRCA Competition page. We've been reverting each others changes for the past few times, and I'm worried that in reverting your changes, I may be wrong. Plus, there is the 3 revert rule to follow as well. I'm sure that you have excellent reasons for making the edits that you did, especially considering that you have made the same changes thrice.

I think it would be a good idea to clear this up, and create consensus and prevent an edit War. It would have been nice if you had given your reasons for the edit on the edit summary, or on the Talk page, or on my Talk page.

Lets look at the salient changes that you've made:

1. Deleting "The Indian Air Force operates over 700 combat aircraft, most of them of Russian origin."- I think this is a correct and accurate statement, and I believe that it shouldn't be removed. The numbers also are accurate, as stated in the IAF page.

2. Changing MRCA numbers from 126 to 200- I have mentioned this in the page as well. Please note that the 200 is just a rumor, since all government and press reports mention only 126, as was projected in 2001. even the MoD stated so in a written reply in the Lok Sabha. If you do have a definite reason or proof for making the change, please cite your sources, and add references. For help, see Wikipedia:Citing sources

3. Deleting the paragraph on present force levels- I believe this is ESSENTIAL to understand the whole article, as well as the extent of attrition, and that the article would be incomplete without it.

All in all, I think it would be great to have your help in editing and improving this page. It would be nice if you created a wikipedia account, since we could discuss these issues and improve the article together. The Talk pages are also a great place to discuss. Feel free to write me on my talk page, and discuss the issues I talked about. It would be great to hear ur reasons and rationale for the edits. I admit that I might be wrong, and the only way to change that would be to discuss and convince each other.

Best of Luck cheers Sniperz11 19:22, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
