Brazil, as host- Winner or Runner-up of the 2010 FIFA World Cup
- Winner of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup
- Winner or Runner-up of the Copa América 2011
- Winner of the 2012 African Cup of Nations
- Winner of the 2011 AFC Asian Cup
- Winner of the 2012 OFC Nations Cup
- Winner of the UEFA Euro 2012
If Brazil win either the 2010 World Cup,2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup or Copa América 2011 then the runners up will gain access to the contest, except in the situation of the World Cup win, which then will go to the top FIFA Ranked team
