2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships

The 2012 IIHF World U20 Championship, or, as it is commonly referred to as in Canada and the United States, the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships is the 2012 edition of the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
On February 1, 2008 Hockey Canada and the Canadian Hockey League announced that six groups have submitted letters of intent to bid to host the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships.
The bid groups are with joint bids between Calgary/ Edmonton, AB, and London/ Windsor, ON and single bids which include Halifax, NS, Saskatoon, SK, Toronto, ON, and Winnipeg, MB. [1]
On April 2, 2008, Hockey Canada announced that three bids have been submitted [2], and they are from:
- Calgary / Edmonton
- Toronto
- Regina / Saskatoon
