[edit] Cancelled

  • This rally just got cancelled. Maybe the 2007 edition was the final Dakar. Hektor (talk) 11:38, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] That's why we should NEVER use the future tense

For future events, an encyclpopedia should say that the scheduled date is but nit that the event WILL happen on a future date. So Euro 2008, Olympics eytc. should say that they are scheule for a time and place. A world Cup was changed in place in 1999. Radio Guy (talk) 01:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Errors in article

The Routes section describes a rest day on 13th January in Atar, but the Stages table shows the rest day on 13th January in Nouakchott.

References [3] and [4] link to pages which appear to relate to the 2007 event, not the cancelled 2008 event.

I suspect the 2007 Dakar Rally article has been copied but incompletely edited. --Romney yw (talk) 02:29, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Idiots

Never give in to terrorists!!!!! What a crock.--71.242.127.31 (talk) 15:43, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah really. Couldn't they have just attached some RPG's onto those all-terrain garbage trucks and fought back instead of folding it up? The Dakar Rally is known for racing through ANYTHING, buncha hypocrites. 24.36.2.26 (talk) 14:53, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
