The 2008 North American SuperLiga, is the second incarnation of the SuperLiga competition. The current plan is to have the top four Major League Soccer teams by point totals at the end of the 2007 season earn qualification.[1] All games of the tournament are expected to be broadcast live on Fox Sports World in Canada (English), Telefutura in the United States (Spanish) and Televisa and TV Azteca in Mexico (both Spanish).

The eight teams in the 2008 edition were selected based on qualification rules set by their respective leagues. The 2008 SuperLiga contestants are:[2]
