For the first time since the 2002-03 season, the Danish clubs have obtained enough coefficient points to get the second and third place finishers of the Danish Superliga in the UEFA Cup. Prior to this, just the second place finisher could qualify (barring the cup winner and the occasional Intertoto qualifier).
