From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2004 FINA Women's Water Polo World League was the first edition of the annual event, organised by the world's governing body in aquatics, the FINA. The tournament was held in the Comcast All-Digital Aquatic Centre in Long Beach, United States from June 23 to June 27, 2004.

This event served as an Olympic preview, with the defending world champions, Team USA, taking on the other seven teams that qualify for the 2004 Summer Olympics. Thus far, Team USA, Greece and Kazakhstan have qualified for The Games and will be competing along with the other five qualifying teams in the FINA World League Superfinal in Long Beach.
