1st Regiment of Life Guards

The 1st Regiment of Life Guards was a cavalry regiment in the British Army[1], part of the Household Cavalry. It was amalgamated with the 2nd Life Guards in 1922 to form the Life Guards. In 1918, the regiment was reorganised as the 1st Battalion, Guards Machine Gun Regiment.
