Gabul Musa: The monks call it "the God-trodden Mount of Sinai".

This is where Moses encountered the Burning Bush, communed with God, and received the Ten Commandments. (Exodus 3:1-5)

It has stood for 1,400 years, has been continiously occupied, at one time in the 6th. c. only one monk. Today, mainly Greek, but also one British and an American, both the later being converts to Orthodoxy.

Facing the entrance to the Church, is a Muslim Mosque, built at the time that Sinai was controlled by the Ottoman Turks.

It sits at the crossroads of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
