A comparison of mean orbit distances and mean diameters of the (48639) 1995 TL₈ binary system to the Earth / Moon system. The scale of the Earth / Moon system has been reduced so that the Earth and (48639) 1995 TL₈ appear equal in size. The image illustrates the relative size and proximity of the (48639) 1995 TL₈ satellite.

Assumes a primary diameter of 350km, a satellite diameter of 161km and a semi-major axis of 420km.
