The Montreal Expos finished the season with the best record in Major League Baseball. The Expos had 74 wins compared to 40 losses. The 1994 Major League Baseball strike forced an end to the season and any postseason aspirations that the franchise had. One of the highlights of the season was that five Expos represented the National League at the 1994 Major League Baseball All-Star Game held in Pittsburgh. Moises Alou had the game winning hit for the National League.

[edit] Offseason

  • On November 19, 1993, the Expos traded fan favourite Delino DeShields to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Pedro Martínez. At the time, the media in Montreal reacted poorly to the deal.
  • December 13, 1993: Randy Milligan was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Montreal Expos for a player to be named later. The Montreal Expos sent Brian Barnes (December 17, 1993) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade. [1]
