I have deleted the following passage from the article:
- May 24 - The Detroit Tigers reach 35-5, a record pace, including Jack Morris throwing a no-hitter early in the season against the Chicago White Sox, en route to cruising to a franchise-record 104 victories. That team featured the great double play combination of shortstop Alan Trammell and second baseman Lou Whitaker; the duo would play together a record 19 seasons. The team also featured relief ace Willie Hernandez, who won the 1984 American League Cy Young Award and Most Valuable Player Award just one year after pitching on the Philadelphia Phillies' National League championship team.
I'm hardly anti-Tigers, but this reads as a season ending recap. If the 35-5 is a Major League or A.L. record through 40 games (and I have little doubt it is), then that fact should be put in. The rest should be taken out, and put into an article about the 1984 Tigers.
