Ben Johnson won the 100 m in 9.83, but was disqualified by the IAAF after Johnson admitted to the use of performance enhancing drugs in 1988.

Giovanni Evangelisti of Italy was originally came third in the long jump at 8.37 m, but it was later determined that field officials had entered a fake result for a jump of 7.85m. [1]
