1987 Women's Field Hockey Olympic Qualifier

The first Women's Hockey Olympic Qualifier was held in Edinburgh, Scotland in April 1987 (exact dates unknown). Six nations took part, and they played a round robin. The top four teams joined the other four that already were qualified for the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea: continental champions Argentina and Australia, title holder and reigning world and continental champion Netherlands, and host Korea.
