1984-85 Challenge Cup

The 1984-85 Challenge Cup was won by Wigan after defeating Hull in the final.

The Final was played at Wembley before a crowd of 97,801 and is arguably the greatest ever in Challenge Cup history.

Teams:
Wigan: Edwards; Ferguson, Stephenson, Donlan, Gill; Kenny, M Ford; Courtney, Kiss, Case (Campbell), West (capt), Dunn, Potter. Coach: Colin Clarke/Alan McInnes.

Hull: Kemble; James, S Evans, Leuluai, O'Hara (Schofield); Ah Kuoi, Sterling; L Crooks (capt), Patrick, Puckering (Divorty), Muggleton, Rose, Norton. Coach: Arthur Bunting.

Referee: Ron Campbell (Widnes)

Wigan 28: Tries: Ferguson (2), Edwards, Kenny, Gill Goals: Gill (3), Stephenson.
Hull 24: Tries: Leuluai (2), James, Divorty, Evans. Goals: Crooks (2).
